We are currently recruiting for a number of positions at our head office in Dubai, UAE. Successful applicants would rotate from their nominated home country and can expect to service contracts worldwide. Please note these are tax free and permanent, full time positions only.

Ideal candidates would be keen, enthusiastic professionals holding their BOSIET and UKOOA offshore medical certificates along with MPI Level 2. IRATA Level 1 would be an advantage along with some experience working offshore conducting derrick inspections/drops surveys. Computer literacy is a must, all applicants should be familiar with MS Word/Excel as a minimum as the reporting is extensive and intensive.

Frequent travel is required for this role and applicants should be available for up to 56 days per hitch. Travel to employee’s home base is covered by the company and it is not a requirement to relocate permanently to Dubai.

All personnel shall have training on Water survival and basic construction and oil field safety.

A. Chief Inspector and Senior Inspector

Job Requirements

The Chief Inspector shall work with the various craft inspectors in ensuring that Company standards and specifications are adhered to (See Craft Inspectors). Additionally, he shall be able to review construction plans and drawings ensuring problems, if any, are detected prior to construction. He shall be able to evaluate construction problems and equipment failures and make remedial recommendations.

The Senior Inspector will be a coordinator between the COMPANY's Construction Department and other inspectors and contractors. His work includes daily report preparation, filing and organizing, and inventory control in addition to monitoring construction progress.

Qualifications

The Chief Inspector / Senior Inspector shall meet the following minimum requirements:

1. OND or City and Guilds of London Institute (C & G) Advanced Level Certificate or equivalent qualifications

2. Meet the qualifications in one of the following disciplines:

Civil Engineering
Mechanical Engineering
Electrical Engineering

3. He shall be familiar with pipe and instrument fittings and with API, AWS, ANSI, ASME and BS codes and standards.

4. General knowledge of the total scope of project work and functions of all the various craftsmen normally required.

5. The Chief Inspector shall possess at least ten years experience in the oil industry with five years experience as a Senior Inspector.

6. The Senior Inspector shall possess at least ten years experience in the oil industry with five years experience as an Inspector.

7. Be able to do materials take-off from drawings.

8. Five-year previous overseas work experience is required for expatriates.

9. Be computer literate and must be able to use Word & Excel software.

10. Be fluent in speaking, and legible in writing of English language.

B. Construction Foreman / Construction Representative

Job Requirements

The Construction Foreman / Construction Representative shall fully represent Company in all facets of construction work by Contractors. He must be fully conversant with all aspects of a given project so as
to ensure that project is executed in accordance with the working drawings and specifications. He must be fully conversant with all terms and conditions of the contract under which a given project is being executed. This is to ensure that any substantial deviations will be properly prevented and if necessary the foreman/representative would be able to order a work stoppage until such deviations are rectified.

Qualifications

The Construction Foreman / Construction Representative shall meet the following minimum requirements:
1. HND or equivalent qualifications.

2. A general knowledge in current industrial codes such as AWS, API, ANSI ASME and BS codes and standards relating to oil field practice.

3. A minimum of five years experience in the upstream petroleum construction industry.

4. Experience in preparing, reading and interpreting technical specifications and drawings.

5. Ability to make daily site decisions, provide direction to contractors and ensure proper management of construction efforts.

6. General knowledge of Safe Work Practices, Safety and Environmental Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and STOP Audit techniques plus the ability to implement them on the construction site.

7. Five-year previous overseas work experience is required for expatriates.

8. Computer literate and must be able to use Word & Excel software.

9. Fluent in speaking, and legible in writing of English language.

C. Planning Coordinator

Job Requirements

The planning Coordinator provides all engineering supports for structural and pipe fabrication activities insuring that Chevron engineering and construction standards are implemented. Full implementation of Chevron standards will be accomplished utilizing a stage approach compatible with resource availability. Duties will include making trips to offshore and onshore facilities for review of project work.

Qualifications

The Planning Coordinator shall meet the following minimum requirements:

1. Bachelor of Science degree in engineering or UK equivalent preferably in mechanical engineering discipline, however other disciplines may be considered if experience is adequate.

2. Working knowledge of offshore and onshore piping and structural engineering related to the upstream petroleum industry. A general knowledge in current industrial codes such as AWS, API, ANSI ASME and BS codes and standards relating to oil field practice.

3. A minimum of ten years of construction and engineering experience in the upstream petroleum industry relating to offshore piping and structural work will be considered.

4. Experience in preparing, reading and interpreting structural, piping and instrumentation prints and drawings.

5. Experience in preparing and ordering descriptions for piping materials, structural steel, construction equipment and hand tools.

6. Experience in preparing job execution plans on small to medium sized oil field construction projects.

7. Five-year previous overseas work experience is required for expatriates.

8. Be computer literate and must be able to use Word & Excel software as well as scheduling software such as Microsoft Projects.

9. Be fluent in speaking, and legible in writing of English language.

D. Planners

Job Requirements

The Maintenance Planning Supervisors shall plan and execute maintenance work on offshore oil production facilities in a manner which minimizes work stoppages and downtime of facilities while assuring adherence to good maintenance practices. He shall supervise the flow of materials and equipment as well as of necessary craftsmen. He shall supervise maintenance crews on underwater and above-water repairs to or replacement of production equipment, flowlines and risers, structural steel for well protectors and platforms, cathodic protection, surface coating, and piling.

Qualifications

Maintenance Planning Supervisors shall meet the following minimum requirements:

1. HND or equivalent qualifications and evidence of a five- year indenture with a reputable company.

2 Experience in welding procedure relevant to the oil industry and ANSI, API, ASME, AWS and BS codes and standards.

3 Experience in construction and maintenance of offshore structures and oil/gas production facilities.

4 Experience in reading and interpreting structural, piping, instrumentation, and electrical prints and drawings.

5 Experience with hazardous area classifications and with restrictions imposed by such classifications on work practices on offshore oil/gas production facilities.

6 Ten years relevant experience with five years at a supervisory level, preferably in maintenance of offshore oil field production facilities.

7. Five-year previous overseas work experience is required for expatriates.

8. Be computer literate and must be able to use Word & Excel software.

9. Be fluent in speaking, and legible in writing of English language.


F. Craft Inspectors

Job Requirements

Craft inspectors represent the Company to Contractors on the job site to ensure Contractor performs the work to Company standards relative to:

1) Use of proper materials and equipment.

2) Construction as per instructions, drawings and specifications.

3) Safety and work procedures.

4) The efficient use of Company's resources.

The inspectors shall be responsible to the Company for monitoring Contractor's performance by reporting:

1) Daily progress of projects.

2) Deviations from standards and specifications which affect the quality of the project.

3) Failures on the part of the Contractor to follow safe practices, Company policies and good work practices.

The inspectors shall be required to supervise actual construction projects using Contractors and if necessary, directly hire local labor. They shall participate in training Nigerian workers employed by the Company.

The Inspectors shall carry out site measurements and estimate percentage completion to be used as the basis for progress payments to contractors.

Inspectors shall do "hands-on" work in their respective disciplines.

a. Civil / Structural Inspector

Civil/Structural Inspectors shall meet the following minimum requirements:

1. OND or its equivalent qualification, and evidence of a five-year indenture with a reputable company.

2. Ability to read drawings, make materials take-off, prepare requests for orders for

materials and identify materials on site.

3. A working knowledge of construction drawings of both British and U.S specifications and of tender documents for new projects

4. Experience in construction of concrete block and prefabricated buildings, of steel piling for tank and slab foundations and of marine docks.

5. Experience in taking samples and testing concrete for strength.

8 Experience in maintaining, upgrading, expanding, and retrofitting electrical power and monitoring/control systems to existing oil field facilities both onshore and offshore.

9 Very good knowledge of Lock-out / Tag-out procedures.

10 Knowledge of PLC, Remote Terminal Unit (RTU), Distributed Control System (DCS), Pneumatic and Electronic controls and knowledge of Loop testing.

d. Welding/ NDT Inspector

Welding Inspectors shall meet the following minimum requirements:

1. City and Guilds of London Institute (C & G) Advanced Level Certificate or equivalent qualifications in welding craft.

2. Experience in welding procedure testing to API, ANSI, ASME, AWS and BS standards, with particular familiarity with API Standard 1104, ANSI B31.3, ASME (Ix) and AWS D.1.1.

3. Experience in performing qualification testing of welders.

e. Painting Inspector

Painting Inspectors shall meet the following minimum requirements:

1. An advanced City and Guilds Certificate or its equivalent, or have completed successfully a five-year indentured apprenticeship with a reputable company.

2. A thorough working knowledge of all protective coatings and solvents commonly used in petroleum production facilities.

3. Knowledge of acceptable conditions and methods for coating application including
standards for surface preparation and detection of defects.

4. Knowledge of proper handling, transporting and storing requirements for protective
coating and related materials.

5. Ability to test coatings, including thickness, coverage, adhesion, solid content, volatility, binder content, and the like.

6. Ability to estimate quantity requirements for proper coverage from drawings and Company specifications.

7. Five years work experience as a painter plus three years as a painter foreman

8. Experience in maintenance painting of operating facilities in onshore and offshore locations.

f. Vessel Inspector

Vessel Inspectors shall meet the following minimum requirements:

1. OND or City and Guilds of London Institute (C & G) Advanced Level Certificate or equivalent qualification in welding and metallurgy

2. Experience in welding procedure testing to API, ANSI, ASME, API 510, AWS and BS standards. Knowledge of heat treatment and reaction of materials relating to ASME P classification of materials.

3. Ability to read and interpret x-ray of welds, and ability to perform ultrasonic, magnetic particle, or dye penetrating tests on welds.

4. Ability to read drawings, material take-off and identify materials on site. Experience with pneumatic and electrical instrumentation commonly found in oil and gas operations.

Experience in providing recommendation and supervision of maintenance, repair or replacement of vessels and associated piping inclusive of separators and storage vessels.

6. Experience with hydrostatic test procedure for vessels and piping work, both onshore and offshore.

7. Experience with hazardous area classifications and with restrictions imposed by such classifications on work practices both onshore and offshore.

8. Experience as a foreman supervising, directing and participating in project construction, maintenance or vessel preparation for inspection.

9. Five years work experience as a vessel or piping inspector plus three years working experience in vessel fabrication.

10. Five-year previous overseas work experience is required for expatriates.

g. Reliability Inspector

Reliability Inspectors shall meet the following minimum requirements:

- Inspectors shall have a minimum of five (5) years experience as a fully apprenticed tradesman/journeyman in their trade.

h. Mechanical Integrity Inspector

Mechanical Integrity Inspectors shall meet the following minimum requirements:

- Inspectors shall have a minimum of five (5) years experience as a fully apprenticed tradesman/journeyman in their trade.

i. Marine Inspector

Marine Inspectors shall meet the following minimum requirements:

1. At least 5 years aboard tankers, of which not less than 2 years as a senior officer on board the type of vessel to be inspected.
2. Shall hold or have held a Dangerous Cargo Endorsement appropriate to the type of vessel to be inspected.
Or Proof of satisfactory training under STCW Code

3. Master license for vessels over 3,000 GRT Or Chief Engineer license for vessels over 3,000 kw

4. Physically capable of conducting a full and complete inspection according to the requirements of the VIQ (Vessel Inspection Questionnaire). This includes inspection of ballast tanks.
5. Sufficient English language ability to proficiently communicate in writing and speaking.
6. Familiarity and knowledge of international regulations; codes, conventions, industry guidelines, procedures and standards appropriate to the type of vessel being inspected. This includes (but is not limited to) ISM, ICS, OCIMF, USCG regulations and guidelines.
7. Proficient with computer and programs such as Excel and Word and have worked with a CMMS Work Order system.
8. Dynamic Positioning experience with at least 10,000 hours experience on various DP vessels.
9. Familiarity and knowledge of Dynamic Positioning to review and comment on DP Failure Mode Effects Analysis (FMEA), FMEA trial procedures, and DP Operations Manuals.
10. Perform pre-charter FEMA trials and DP performance trials.

i. Crane Inspector

Crane Inspectors shall meet the following minimum requirements:

1. Inspectors shall have a minimum of five (5) years experience as a fully apprenticed tradesman/journeyman in their trade.
2. Inspectors shall be fully certified, conversant and have a strong working knowledge of, maintenance and operating practices of API RP-2D and British Standard SI 2307.
