New W@H Training Centre Hull

Collaboration between Market Leaders Total Access and HOTA will transform training for the renewable energy market .

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE On 14th January 2011, a formal agreement was signed by Linda Ellis, General Manager of HOTA and Andrew Dack, Managing Director of Total Access committing both companies to provide Working at Height, Confined Space and Renewable UK training under the banner of Total Access @ HOTA. Back in June 2010, Managers of both Companies met to discuss the possibility of a liaison between these two major UK Market Leaders who acknowledged that growth was a crucial part of each company’s strategy. HOTA was already in the process of expansion onto an adjacent property at Malmo Road where it planned to transfer and expand some of its existing facilities. As renewable energy is a key component to both organisations future strategy, it was agreed that a collaboration should be investigated, with Total Access (UK) Ltd becoming HOTA’s preferred training provider for the delivery of Working at Heights, Confined Space and Renewable UK training. Construction of a state of the art Working @ Heights Training Centre at Malmo Road in Hull is now well under way and will be completed and ready to receive delegates from 6th June 2011. The centre will include a purpose built training structure, IRATA approved Rope Access training and an external 25m Communications tower. On HOTA’s Albert Dock site, an existing 25 metre high tower is currently undergoing refurbishment to provide what is likely to be a unique training facility in the UK, bringing together the expertise of HOTA and Total Access to deliver both marine and land based training to satisfy the Renewable training market. Additionally, HOTA is currently investigating the feasibility of erecting a wind turbine on the quay edge providing even greater realism to the training. The collaboration between HOTA and Total Access will transform the current training available for the renewable energy market by providing a “One-Stop” Training Centre in Hull. Commenting on the Collaboration, Andrew Dack, Managing Director of Total Access (UK) Ltd says, “Total Access has been at the forefront of Working @ Height Training for the past twenty years. The relationship we have formed with HOTA places two great companies in a strong position to deliver the needs of the renewable energy market from the UK’s only purpose built facility that serves both the marine and land based renewable energy training requirements.” Total Access (UK) Ltd and HOTA will be jointly attending shows and events where the industry will be able to keep abreast of the developments.
