GWO Fire Awareness is a half day course delivered at our training centre in Lowestoft, Suffolk.
The GWO Fire Awareness full course and refresher course cover the same content, duration and learning objectives and so delegates attending the course for the first time and those refreshing their training can attend the same date.
The cost of this course is £125.00 + VAT
Course Information
The aim of this course is to provide delegates with the basic knowledge and skills to be able to prevent fires, make appropriate judgements when evaluating a fire, manage evacuation of personnel and ensure all are safely accounted for in the event of a fire. If the incident is judged to be safe, the delegates will be able to efficiently extinguish an initial fire using hand held firefighting equipment.
Prerequisites
GWO Fire Awareness can be physically demanding and to participate in the training, you must be medically fit and capable of participating fully.
You will be required to provide the following:
- A valid in-date medical certificate
- A completed Medical Declaration Form (a copy will be provided after placing your booking)
- Your GWO WINDA ID If you’re refreshing your training, your current GWO Fire Awareness certificate.
You must send all your prerequisites to us before the start of the course to ensure you can participate.
Other requirements:
- The course is run in English and as such you must have an appropriate level of fluency in order to participate
- You must be 18+
- A valid photographic ID such as a Passport or Driving Licence
Equipment
- You must be wearing trousers to participate in the practical element of this course.
- Shorts are not permitted.
