In a bid to strengthen their commitment to the growing renewable industry, AquaTerra has joined the energy trade association, RenewableUK: the trade and professional body for the UK wind and marine renewables industries.

Formed in 1978, and with 643 corporate members, RenewableUK is the leading renewable energy trade association in the UK. Their primary purpose is to promote the use of wind, wave and tidal power in and around the UK. The Association acts as a central point for information for its membership and as a lobbying group to promote wind energy and marine renewables to government, industry, the media and the public.

AquaTerra’s Managing Director, Pete Robinson, said; “Joining RenewablesUK reaffirms, to existing and potential clients, our continued commitment to and investment in the renewable energy industry.”

Our specialist rope access services and personnel have conducted a variety of inspection, repair and maintenance works for wind turbine projects and we’re looking forward to further growth in this area both on and offshore.

As our training division also continues to increase its portfolio of industry-standard courses, we’re confident that our membership will provide key marketing platforms to highlight our growing portfolio and our new bespoke training facilities for the renewable industry.”

Wind has been the world's fastest growing renewable energy source for the last seven years, and this trend is expected to continue with falling costs of wind energy and the urgent international need to tackle CO2 emissions to prevent climate change.
