1. Purpose

This policy protects the reputation, identity, and legal standing of Rigg Access Ltd by controlling how contractors, freelancers, and third parties reference the company in public or professional contexts.

2. Scope

This policy applies to:

  • Contractors
  • Freelancers
  • Consultants
  • Temporary workers
  • Any non-employee providing services to Rigg Access Ltd

It does not apply to employees or statutory directors (who are governed by separate rules).

3. Prohibited Representations

Unless formally appointed and recorded at Companies House, no contractor or third party may:

  • Refer to themselves as a Director, Partner, Owner, Officer, or Employee of Rigg Access Ltd
  • Imply ongoing or current association after their engagement ends
  • Use any job title suggesting authority to act on behalf of the company
  • Represent themselves as having decision-making power within the company
  • Use the company name in a way that suggests endorsement or affiliation

These restrictions apply to all platforms, including:

  • LinkedIn
  • Social media
  • CVs
  • Websites
  • Marketing materials
  • Email signatures

4. Permitted Representations

Contractors may reference past work with Rigg Access Ltd only in factual, non-misleading terms, such as:

“Independent contractor providing services to Rigg Access Ltd (dates).”

No titles, seniority, or employment status may be implied.

5. Use of Company Name and Branding

Contractors must not use:

  • Company logos
  • Company branding
  • Company email domains
  • Company titles
  • Company intellectual property

without explicit written permission.

6. Post-Engagement Requirements

Upon termination of the working relationship, contractors must:

  • Remove any current association with Rigg Access Ltd from all public profiles
  • Remove any job titles or descriptions implying employment or authority
  • Update LinkedIn and other platforms to reflect past-tense, factual work only

Failure to comply may result in:

  • Formal requests for removal
  • Reporting to platform administrators
  • Legal action if misrepresentation causes harm

7. Enforcement

Rigg Access Ltd reserves the right to:

  • Request immediate correction of any misrepresentation
  • Report false information to LinkedIn or other platforms
  • Take legal action where misrepresentation creates liability or reputational damage

8. Acknowledgement

All contractors must confirm they have read and understood this policy before beginning work.
